"Cuds And Suds" (aka Beef and Beer)

Sometimes, especially on a blustery Spring day, there's just nothing better than a perfectly made cheeseburger, fries, and ice cold beer.

Christine had some errands to do this morning. It's her week off. Unfortunately, life goes on even on weeks off. Still, it beats having to report to the office.

She had to fast last night through this morning to get some routine blood work done.

She finally arrived home a bit past 12:30 pm. "What are we doing for lunch today?", she asked.

"Were going over to Iron Hill Brewery in Wilmington (Delaware) for lunch.", I replied.

Christine's eyes lit up.

I knew they would. In addition to well made beers, they have excellent food.

She had a terrific looking chicken salad (with pecans and cranberry relish) sandwich with a creamy, smooth seafood bisque.

I'd like to show you a picture of both.

However, I won't.

Go back up and read the title.

A delicious house brewed "Vienna Red Lager" made better by this:

The "Black Forest Burger". It's a perfectly executed 1/2 pound burger, topped with herb sauteed exotic mushrooms, a nice thick layer of Swiss cheese, and horseradish sauce on the side.

Oh yeah, and it was cooked to perfection.

I might just go back tonight and get another one for dinner.

It was that good.

Not much else to report on a rainy Spring day.

Tomorrow, Christine, Splitty the Maul, and I take in some Brandywine River history.

Lord knows what Splitty's going to ask next.

Until the next time, all y'all take care of yourselves.

Air Traffic Mike, ret.
